Prior to joining LOWE, as the Finance Director, Tanner spent 5 years with Burson-Marsteller China, a global public relation firm headquartered in US.
Before Burson-Marsteller, Tanner was the financial controller at Antalis China, a global premium paper distribution company headquartered in France.
Before Antalis, Tanner spent 4 years with CITS American Express China, a corporate travel consultancy joint-venture of the China International Travel Service and American Express. As the Financial Controller of American Express in China, Tanner managed its initial set-up, built its business management process from scratch, and completed a special corporate card project to improve the venture’s collections and cash flow.
Earlier in his career, Tanner trained for three years in the finance departments of GlaxoSmithKline China.
He is a graduate of China’s Central University of Finance and Economy, in BeiJing.
